More Than Just a Kitchen Remodel in Dilworth
Nothing says home like updates built around your lifestyle and your current season of life. In our recent Dilworth project, we reimagined a home for an empty-nester couple referred by a past client. Our process allowed our clients to be heard and their needs and tastes understood long before we began construction.
The Empty Nester Remodel
The original kitchen layout didn’t have a great traffic flow, so creating a natural flow in this main space was a top priority. After years of children running through their homes, our clients wanted a finish refresh and a few quality aesthetic updates in the powder room and family room that they could sit and appreciate now that their home was quieter.
In this kitchen remodel, we added a new island to open up the space and give better clearance. In addition, our team installed a custom wood hood above a dual fuel range for an elevated detail that curated the most popular room in the house to our clients' fantastic taste. Adding light cabinetry and new lighting made the once-dark space feel open and inviting. We also inserted a drawer microwave in the kitchen island, making the center of the kitchen a bit more efficient without adding clutter.
One standout feature in the family room was the custom TV lift cabinet, which allowed the TV to be hidden when not in use, keeping the clean, uncluttered motif. We also revamped the fireplace with a new surround and hearth using a running bond thin brick pattern, juxtaposing a warm texture against the clean, white lines of the room.
Our something blue went to the powder room, where a bold blue vanity cabinet served as a focal point and helped define the room.
With custom features like the TV lift and the updated fireplace brick, we gave this Dilworth home the ability to look perfectly untouched or merrily lived in - with just a pull of a drawer or the lifting of a TV.
